Awards Honorary Memberships
John Goens Honored
|
The Painting
& Decorating Contractors Association recognized two
recently retired members during the monthly membership
meeting at the Ritz-Carlton Hotel. In a special ceremony,
Mark Switzer, P.D.C.A. Chapter President, presented
lifetime honorary memberships in the local chapter to John
Goens and Roy Morey in acknowledgement of their many years
of service to the painting industry.
John Goens founded Goens Brothers Painting
Company in 1969. He served two terms as president of the
Kansas City Chapter, P.D.C.A. and sat on the general labor
committee. He was a management trustee for Painters'
District Council No. 3 Pension Fund from 1985 to 1990. Roy
Morey had been a sales representative in the painting and
decorating industry since 1962. Other honorary members in
attendance were Vern Ammon, Don Hudson and Leon Switzer. |
